A Sabbath Retreat with the Psalms

 This year our Women’s Retreat is being subsidized by a grant from the Southwest Region of the Episcopal Church in Colorado and is open to women from throughout the Southwest Region.

The retreat is being planned and presented by clergy and laity of St. Matthew’s in Grand Junction.

 Our theme for this year is “A Sabbath Retreat with the Psalms.” The goal is to provide a sabbath experience of rest and renewal coupled with study of God’s Holy Word as expressed in the Psalms. Free time and fun activities will be blended with learning sessions where we will examine the poetic nature of the Psalms, study the different genres or types of Psalms, and practice various forms of prayer using the Psalms.

 Check-in at Cathedral Ridge starts at 3:00 PM on September 26 and the retreat activities will begin with a social gathering at 5:00 PM. We will conclude at 11:00 AM on September 29.

 Because of the Southwest Region Grant we are able to offer this three-night retreat, including all meals, for $82.50 per person, double occupancy. All rooms at Cathedral Ridge have two double beds and a full bath (shower only). You may choose to identify who you would like to share a room with or let us introduce you to a new friend!

The actual cost of the retreat is $330 per person, double occupancy. If you are able and would like to pay the full cost of your room and board, or a larger portion of it, the unused scholarship funds will remain earmarked for future Southwest Region events at Cathedral Ridge.

 Private rooms are available for an additional $195. (The unsubsidized retreat cost for a private room is $525.)

Fees will be collected at Cathedral Ridge when you check in.
