Reclaiming Our Heritage: Following the Mystics Through the Narrow Gate: “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who take it. For the gate is narrow and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14. Rationalism and faith emphasizing adherence to doctrinal formulations have dominated belief in the Western Church since the time of the Inquisition. We see it even now in many churches. You are either included or excluded from fellowship, from the Communion table, from the sacramental life of the Church based on litmus tests of orthodoxy. Join us Thursday mornings from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM beginning on Thursday, January 12th, concluding on Thursday, February 16th as we pursue answers to these questions in what should be thought-provoking offering.
