We also say that God is just, that God should be feared, and that God hates and punishes the wicked. What are we to make of all this God-talk? Desirable or undesirable, these adjectives are all human qualities attributed to God. Talk about God pushes and exceeds the limits of human speech. "Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp. or what's a heaven for?", as the poet Robert Browning wrote. Join Fr.
