Yet the Book of Psalms has been cherished and used for centuries by Jews and Christians alike. How were the psalms prayed and understood in the early Church—in cathedral and monastic daily prayer, in private prayer? References to Christ were seen in the psalms, but how could this be since the composition of the psalms pre-dated Jesus’ birth? Join Fr.
